Our School recently participated in UNESCO’s International Day Against Violence and Bullying at School, including Cyberbullying, on November 7th. This significant event highlighted the importance of standing up against violence and bullying, fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for all students.
To show our support, the school organised a Dress Down Day. Students and staff wore pink, symbolising solidarity in the fight against bullying. This vibrant display encouraged everyone to reflect on their role in creating a supportive community.
In preparation for this day, our student counsellors arranged various educational activities focused on anti-bullying awareness. These initiatives aimed to educate students about the impact of bullying and promote kindness and respect among peers.
Teachers participated by wearing specially designed badges created by our talented F1 and F2 students. The designs included powerful messages such as:
– “Bullying is never the answer” (F1B: Macphee Do Espirito Santo, Joao Pedro Cabral Costa Canelas De Castro, Jaden Leong, Matthew Chen, Davey Pun)
– “Bee Kind to everyone” (F1A: Joel Guerreiro Leong, Shannon Lou, Addie Chui, Hayley Shi)
– “A little kindness makes the world a better place!” (F2B: Hayley Chan, Fei Fei Pun; F2C: Vania Esteves Cheang, Zuri Cheng)
– “Bug-off bullies!!” (F2C: Megan Au, Gladys Lee, Jodie Lei, Chloe Au)
All badge designs were finalised and beautified by our dedicated student counsellors.
We also held an Anti-Bullying Talk for Form 1 and Form 2 students in October to emphasize our strong stance against bullying. These efforts reflect our commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing educational environment where every student can thrive.
